Open your Xverse Chrome extension and select ‘Swap’ on the dashboard. The swap function is currently only available on desktop but mobile app support will launch soon. 

Choose the asset you want to swap on the ‘From’ dropdown menu and the asset you want to receive on the ‘To’ dropdown menu. The base currency will be either a Runes token or bitcoin.

Once you click each dropdown, you will see a search function to help you select your preferred token and a bidirectional arrow to switch the base currency. The dropdown contains tokens that the swap feature will aggregate from different offerings across the Runes ecosystem.

Input the amount you want to transact with and press ‘Get Quote.’ 

The Runes swap aggregator will then match your transaction with suitable orders with the best price quotes from suitable marketplaces across Magic Eden, Dotswap, Unisat, and other marketplaces.

Now, it’s time to manually select a suitable marketplace with affordable pricing to complete the swap. Xverse intends to uphold its non-custodial status, and for that, your transaction assets are neither held by Xverse nor any of the marketplaces.
